ULTIMA® TR
The Ultima® TR, the latest in continuous motion technology in vertical form/fill/seal packaging machinery, combines the most desirable features of Hayssen's® measure, form, pull packaging material handling concept with our "D" motion servo-motor controlled jaw mechanism to provide unsurpassed repeatability, reliability, flexibility, and ease of set-up.
-
Servo Motors Featuring Closed Loop Feedback Unlike stepper-motor driven machines, the Ultima® TR provides full torque over a wide speed range with closed loop feedback that monitors position and function for the utmost in long-term repeatability and accuracy.
-
Servo-Driven "D" Motion Jaw Assembly This design allows the Ultima® TR to run a full range of bag widths from 2-1/8" up to 12". Jaws ride on a set of extra large heavy-duty shafts allowing for very simple, consistent jaw alignment between changes.
-
Digital IQ Technology Provides for the unique ability of the jaw velocity to run independently of the film velocity. This in turn allows the machine's seal time to be adjusted separately giving the Ultima® TR the ability to produce significantly longer seal times than conventional continuous motion baggers. Additionally, this unique technology allows for "on-the-fly" speed changes.
-
Digital Stripping Simple, effective, and near maintenance-free product stripping is standard with Hayssen's® exclusive digital stripping feature. Combining jaw and film velocity differential with our exclusive film reversing capability, this feature can accommodate speeds up to 120 bags per minute with stripping action of 2" of bag length. With this option, shorter bags may be possible as product stacking is minimized.
-
Servo-Driven Measuring Roller Ultima® TR's servo-driven measuring roller assembly feeds film continuously with less tension, accelerating and decelerating for the smoothest film movement.
-
Self-Centering Torque-Limited Pull Belts Material is pulled through with more positive control and little stress at the forming shoulder. The advanced Ultima® TR self-centering, servo-driven torque-limited pull belts follow the film speed curve established by the measuring roller. Slippage is virtually eliminated due to the torque limiting capability provided. This translates to longer pull belt life and much more consistent film control.
-
Superior Film Registration A fiber-optic link in the film registration system allows the electric eye controls to be placed at the front of the machine. An operator can easily see the controls and adjust the eye during operation. Lateral and longitudinal eye spot location is programmable. Registration can be achieved in less than one bag length, minimizing film waste.
-
Unsurpassed Sealing Systems Ultima® TR's sealing systems offer ...
* better seals * repeatable performance * higher production speeds * less maintenance
Hayssen's® resistance sealing systems employ steel/Hastelloy die faces for longer life. And, Ultima® TR's longer dwell time allows for superior package sealing at speeds up to 160 bags per minute.
-
Control Systems Ultima® TR PC-Based Touch-Screen A CTC color programmable touch-screen controller with 100 program storage offers auto set-up, online remote diagnostic reporting, and troubleshooting advice. The programmable sealing temperature feature prevents machine start-up if temperatures are not correct. With a 24-meg flash card, the interface is capable of providing many additional features such as Ethernet capability, maintenance and operator manuals, parts lists, four languages, and password protection.
