The RT5000 HFFS Packaging Machine combines a new unique dual lane system with the Hayssen® time honored long dwell sealing system. We have added new high speed die release technology, resulting in packaging rates in excess of 500 packages per minute!
The wrapping film is unwound from a single roll and then slit into two equal widths and routed to the RT machine bed. Two lanes of equal sized product are placed onto the film.
A twin finseal assembly forms the film around each lane of product and the top finseal is made. When required, a MAP gas flush system is provided.
The twin lanes of product, within the fin-sealed packaging film, proceed to the rotary die system where a single cross-seal die simultaneously completes the end seal on both packages.
The cross-seal dwell-time of the Hayssen® RT5000 equates to 42 inches of film travel. Therefore, as an example, the sealing dwell time for a 5-inch long package exceeds 2 seconds at 500 packages per minute. This long seal time, along with the controlled heat and pressure of our channel-lock dies, assures that packages are produced with ultra high integrity seals while avoiding extreme high temperatures that tend to distort the package.
That adds up to the best seals in the world at fantastic production rates!
